Maybe I can add no-damage sword button-less boss achievements in the future to the set.
Mutawarrior 15 Mar 2020 10:37
Those would require beating the bosses the way you played the game for these 2 achievements (without using the sword button) and using other ways to fight the bosses & beating them without damage.
adamjohnny5 15 Mar 2020 10:38
those are all very good ideas. i didnt know about the minimum requirements. good job all around, though.
Mutawarrior 15 Mar 2020 10:39
Yeah I think I'll add those soonish after I'm done with the set for the 3 heart Link's Awakening DX hack I've been working on in my (lately very limited) free time.
adamjohnny5 15 Mar 2020 10:40
Nice. Love Links Awakening. ill keep an eye out!
Mutawarrior 15 Mar 2020 10:43
Thanks. Yeah lots of testing still needed for that. I uploaded like 55 achievements so far I made starting back in 2017 and will leave them as unofficial until they're all tested and I can figure out if I can salvage my no-damage dungeon achievements
Mutawarrior 15 Mar 2020 10:44
When I last tested the no-damage Tail Cave achievement, I noticed taking stairs would periodically cause the health flag to change & trigger the reset that made getting it null & void.
Mutawarrior 15 Mar 2020 10:45
I hope to base it on i-frames so I can save it rather than deleting all my hard work for it and I think the Bottle Grotto one that I think I also made.
luizfilipekz 19 May 2020 21:39
does it have to be just one move or can i use saves?
Mutawarrior 20 May 2020 10:57
I think you can save so you don't have to do it in 1 try, but don't quote me on that (I never tested it with a save). I'm pretty sure the value of the counter for how many times you use your sword is stored when you save the game.
luizfilipekz 29 Jun 2020 18:10
this achievement needs to be done in one move or can i save and can i use items? items with "bumerang, magic rod ..."
luizfilipekz 29 Jun 2020 19:00
and i need to know how to glitch?
Mutawarrior 29 Jun 2020 20:11
Like I already said, you can save but if you use the sword it will remember that you did so you need to do it without ever using a sword (don't press the B button) before or after saving.
Mutawarrior 29 Jun 2020 20:12
Also you can and should use your other items and you can use Pegasus Boots dash attacks with the sword, but avoid ever pressing the B button. No glitches necessary.

AlexGatao 20 Dec 2020 21:58

Be wanrned I'm not sure why but the game wasn't saving at all for me on LibRetro using the mGBA core. It worked fine with Bettle GBA though... YMMV

Link to patch 404 :( What is the name of the patch needed?
14ausher 26 Feb 2022 10:49
I tried doing the B button challenge thing and I got softlocked while fighting Blind; I used the Magic Cape, dashed him, and then Link just slid around while I was unable to control him. Blind died, and after that I could not do anything (I did not test if B did anything in fear of it nulling the challenge) as Link was stuck in a corner. I had to reset the emulator.Overall, I liked the challenge, but I'm going to give it some time before I try it again (and save more often the second time). I'm probably going to start over and try and make sure I don't have any fairy revivals in fear of them counting as deaths.
14ausher 28 Feb 2022 22:48
I actually did it, and I did accidentally revive with a fairy, but I still got the deathless achievement, so there's no need to worry about that.
