Yes, this game only allow 4 or 6 credits per run, depending of the DIP switch configuration, so there is no unlimited continues.

routing for Armory Master:
Stage 1 - pick up Machine Gun from first item carrier, get the second at the helicopter boss. Immediately switch to Laser from next item carrier after helicopter is down
Stage 2 - first two item carriers are Shell and the second Laser. Third item carrier after the two big tanks is the Spread, grab this
Stage 3 - ignore first two item carriers. Third one after you pass the big tree branches will have the second Spread
Stage 4 - first two carriers have the Grenade launcher, just get both of them without dying
