is there a specific galaga rom file and emulator i need to use? so far it isn't registering my achievements.

Make sure you have the latest Final Burn Neo and I used the romset with Revision B for it (galaga).

Thanks comboace! I was using Galaga with MEME instead of Final Burn. Now it works perfectly :-)
