I finished the game playing as the Knight and it didn't unlock.

Well first you might want to start by actually updating your retroarch before making another attempt since I can see from the rich presence error that your retroarch is years out of date. If you still have issues open a ticket.

Also just finishing as the knight is not sufficient. You have to play as the knight from start to finish. You can't start with another character, die, and then select the knight later and finish with the knight. So at this point I don't even know if you actually met the conditions, much less anything about emulator, ROM used, and so on.

I have the latest retroarch 1.19.1 and all my cores are UpToDate so I think that is not the issue, and I played as the night all the way through.but I will try again later anyway and thank you for your effort.

Well if you refuse to open a ticket then there's nothing I can do. I don't even know if you met the conditions, what ROM you are using, did a challenge icon show up. Plain and simple it's unhelpful to just say "it didn't work" on the game wall and give the dev nothing to work with and outright deny them access to a lot of helpful information used to troubleshoot that they get when a ticket is opened.

@banzy99 If you make another attempt soon remember to create some save states. Same thing happened to me with the wizard. The active icon disappeared somewhere during the final stage. So the issue might be happening there? Maybe create a state right before the final stage. I'm not a dev so I don't know how fixing these things actually works, but that would probably be helpful. I created a ticket as well.

First to master, nothing too hard in this set except some mildly difficult boss challenges. Surprisingly fun game. Thanks for the set!

in attempting to get the last character clear for this, I got hit by the same bug banzy99 mentioned. Was able to figure out the cause - if you insert a credit while the gameplay demo is happening, it locks you out of achievements (maybe because two players are on screen?). I suppose it's my fault for not noticing the character icon was absent from the bottom-right corner, I've been jumping around between games so much I forgot that was a thing here. Always double-check to make sure the character icon is active, and insert a credit right away, not during the game demo. (I really don't want to play through again with the Elf.... she's so damn weak)

I must have run into the same bug, since my run as the dwarf didn't get the dwarf-only cheevo. I never even saw the challenge active icon in the first place. Being my first playthrough, I wasn't sure if I should expect it.

But can confirm the behavior. Wait for thr 2-player demo, insert a credit, start the game - none of the character cheevo challenge icons are visible. Did I do this on my run? Can't be certain, but sounds like something I'd do by accident.
