I'm setting all track-wins to "Progress", but I'm also adding all 3 car-based-wins to Progress as well. Games like this are hard to track what "counts" as win/progress in general, but I feel that it's necessary to get at least one win in each car-type to be considered "Complete".

I'm not sure if this kind of stuff will be debated over the years or not, but that's how I feel about it anyway. And then the rest of the things will be considered extra.

Well, doesn't seem to be any current guidelines on racing games exactly. In general, I suppose their usual guideline of 'any difficulty' means just the easy-track-wins will be Progress. However, as I view the different cars each as 'very different characters'(and the game makes a point to separate each car's best-times on each track), I feel like they're still required to get a win with each one at least once.

Alright I gotta be missing a button or something. Just drove super clean on Big Forest, easy, F1. Full speed, just tap released the two big turns to avoid sliding into grass. 3rd place in race, and 14th on board. What the heck am I missing, I literally cannot go any faster with general racing knowledge lol

It's probably Manual-Shifting, but can't say for sure. I would say that it's the car, because Stock Car is easier to drift around corners without losing too much speed, but every leaderboard(especially in game) is separated by car.

Yeah, got a tip in discord. If going for the beat just use the stock car. It’s strange because times are overall slower for it, but it’s so much easier to place first.
Will have to figure out how to get first with the other cars still when the time comes though lol

While I'm at it ......... I think I'll go ahead and raise the timed-race points; the 10th-places from 5 to 10, and the 1st-places from 10 to 25. It's a bit much for some of them, but for how difficult some of them are, I feel like it might be a better fit.

Wish I did, I easily got the 1st-place Big Forest trophies for all 3 difficulties in Stock, but it took me forever to get Easy-Big-Forest in Formula, and still haven't for Prototype. The most I can guess is strategic braking/coasting, but that kills your RPMs fast.

I tried this out for the racing event and this is why I love RA, I'd never find forgotten gems like this by myself. One of the best games I've played in months

Also one of the hardest challenges I've done in quite some time too, but an incredibly rewarding one. I was ready to come at this games life and say that these 1st place T.T.'s were way too strict and that the game Devs just threw an arbitrary time at the wall and called it a day. But I was wrong

Whoever decided on these times clearly had a passion for the game. Meticulously crafted to get the most out of your machine, at first you'll think them impossible. But as you start learning better and better lines for each section & chaining them together you'll find that not only are the times doable, they're actually quite lenient at points, giving you 2-4 seconds of leeway over 5 laps

Make no mistake though, these are HARD. There's a huge lack of info on this game, you'll barely get anything from speedrun.com and youtube videos are all useless. I would spend anywhere from 1-6 hours to truly learn and master a track. And then I'd have to do that all over again with another car's completely different style of play. Sometimes you'll get lucky and the line will be similar like in Acropolis. That's not often though : )

This is what I love to see... impossible-odds, but someone unwraps it and makes sense out of it, and makes it all happen. And that as well, finding games that have gone underappreciated or unknown and give them the structure needed for a player to discover it too. To me, this is the best game that showcases what the 32x could do, and it actually feels like a real, finished game that improves on the original it was ported from. More tracks, more cars, more care and interest put into it. Not a perfect game, but well made all around.

Always grateful to see you Master the sets I make, hahaa.. thanks for putting in all the effort. I know I'll never Master it myself but I like it better that way. Just funny they put in those kinds of absurd times but I guess it was for the longevity of giving people something to do after the short trophy-collecting was over. Real shame the US version didn't incorporate saving or difficulty-different-trophies at all.

(Technically I forgot to record my Stock Big Forest run, but this is the easiest TT and there happens to be another good video for it on YT, so I put that in the playlist instead)

The time I personally had the most issues getting was Highland + Prototype, but the achievement unlock rates are currently disagreeing with me on that. This game has an interesting mechanic where you have to tap steering in a certain "rhythm" to keep the optimal amount of grip/turning power, and Highland really forces you to master that, otherwise you're understeering straight into the wall.
