Mastered, i was surprised how good this game is. My only complaint to the game is, that it's sometimes hard to distuingish stuff from the fore- and backround.

Mastered, This was such a good game for a virtual boy title. The stuff this game accomplished is something the GBA or even the Nintendo DS couldn't accomplish until the 3ds came.

It's been so long since I played this game that I forgot you can run in it. You have to hold down the L or R shoulder button to run. I played like 90% of the levels by walking through them.

A solid if barebones set. It's not surprising considering it looks like it was made in 2018 - I'd say this a prime candidate for a revision. More progression acheivements, acheivements for finding hidden rooms or collecting a certain amount of treasure in levels - an achievement for getting all the treasures in the second quest is probably the standout omission of what's here.

As for the game itself - this was my first time playing it, and while I enjoyed it, boy am I glad I never got a Virtual Boy just for this. It feels a bit like Sonic CD to me - a game that's hyped more than it would have been if more people had gotten to play it when it was new. It's a solid game, and it's easy to emulate - but this set also won't take you long if you're used to platformers. The biggest issue I had is that the controls are a little weird. You can run - hold one of the shoulder buttons. It makes you a little too slippery, but the default speed is a little too slow, and the charge Wario performs with B works a little differently than it does in later games which threw me off. (Namely, he will stand still if you're not holding a direction.)

You can press the run button mid-jump to speed up in the air, which did save me a time or two, but it also felt janky as hell.

Definitely recommend this to people who haven't given it a shot. The only thing I'd say drags it down is that some of the later stages get really busy and it's hard to tell what's in the foreground and what's in the background without a 3D display. I don't know if emulator settings can help with that, but a lot of my lives lost were due to that in the final level.

@Quills I would have that happen if I pressed both Left and Right, the game really hates when that happens.
