I played this, and it crashed when I was in the fourth match. I don't know if it's the Super Mario World ROM I used that is causing it (I used USA) or if it's like that.

Nope it's the game. There are two versions SNES and Genesis and both versions are a little bit buggy and can crash while playing. But the Genesis version has more bugs and crashes.

i would want to see a Genesis achievement set witch is more challenging

Maybe one day because it includes a few other pokemon so it's a bit different. But I wouldn't say it's more challenging because if a pokemon uses an attack both lose the stored power so maybe you can just spam A to the victory.

I notice this game is crashing all the time in 'retroarch', most of them after 3º or 4º battle.
And when i tried 'RAsnes9x' the game crashed only 1 time.
