Happy that this game finally has a set. Right now it seems the Pre 9/11 version does not load the set for me, though that's okay considering how rare it is.

Plus if I'm not mistaken, only the PAL version of the Pre 9/11 version is known to exist, so I'm not sure if that would cause problems with the set.

oh. Yeah if it's the PAL version it's not the right version, there is a rom of the US version out there but it may be a pain to track down. If you see one called Rev. 1 then the other one is the pre-9/11 version.

Added trigger flags to most challenge cheevos. When challenges are active it should show it on-screen. On retroarch this requires version 1.9.6 or higher

Mastered. I didn't like this set as much as the first game's, but I think that's due to the game itself, since I didn't grow up with S-M2 and a lot of the achievements were similar. The no-damage ones were a pain though, since enemies and hazards behaved erratically, and all the playthroughs required for comics and stuff was tedious. Not sure why they made that change from the first game.

Mastered. This was fun but grinding 5 playthroughs on all difficulties to unlock all costumes was painful - not even that difficult but too repetitive and tedious.

I agree, but it was the way the game was designed and a cheevo to get all the comics was kinda a no-brainer so I didn't have much choice there

Yeah I get it. I wish there were cheat codes to unlock those costumes behind new playthroughs to save some time. Took me around 20 hours to get 100%.

whlhitewarrior, it isn't your fault at all. The game design changed and I think it made this game less enjoyable than the the first one. But your set is pretty much fine.

I reworked some of these cheevos. I used an address in the kernel ram that made some cheevos reliant on the BIOS. Removed that so that the BIOS would no longer be required. I hope I didn't create any new problems doing this but if I did, feel free to report them and I'll work on them

Yay, first Mastered set for me! Overall it was a fun run, except for "What Did It Cost?" (because it was sorta glitchy, had to tinker around the emulator until I read it was about overclocking) and "Reptile Dysfunction" (you can get knocked right at the beginning, even if you're prepared)
