You can create an AC to fly straight up without climbing on that mission. Keep weight down and add boosters.

I must say I'm definitely glad to see this game finally has some achievements, and some pretty good ones too (thank you for making the Perfectionist achievement. Non Human PLUS Ravens are the superior Ravens!). Unfortunately, I'm let down just a bit for getting an achievement for beating every. Single. Mission. That's just playing the game, not really noteworthy. But that's made up for achievements like "Swift Evacuation" I and II, "Slaughterhouse", and "Leave Nothing Behind".

I'm hoping to see achievements made for the next two games with less... "Yay! You played the game and beat a level" type of achievements.

The game's overall on the short side, mastered in around 13h, but the gameplay loop is on point. After a couple of missions to get a hang of the controls you'll find yourself customizing your mech to your fancy or for specific mission. Not everything is perfect, the camera can get wonky and some collisions detection can be shoddy, but for a first game of this type FromSoft showed that they knew what they were doing even back then. The set will require a minimum of two playthroughs between Perfectionist and the Human+ requirement and if you want to keep your parts you will need to do backup saves: once you get the end you can no longer get H+ through debt. The set is great and while I don't like all of the challenges they add spice to the playthrough, so thanks to Falcus !

Think you could update the quotation marks some of the achievements? The slanted quotations render as question marks, at least in Duckstation.

If you are having control issues, move the controls around so the dpad controls like a left analog stick, and the face buttons control like right analog stick, in modern games. You can make it feel even better by using retroarch to map those controls to analog sticks. Kinda breaks some of the fights, because you will basically be using modern controls.

I'd also like to add that there's a hidden input to activate a cockpit cam. Hold triangle and square then press start and when you unpause, you're suddenly in a first person cam. This is very, VERY helpful for those quicker moving targets where for some reason FromSoft decided it was a good idea to have the camera lag behind so you can't even see where you're aiming when you make a quick turn. This is a godsend for the final boss since half the time you'd just be looking at a wall otherwise and just hoping you're aiming in their general direction.

With AC VI on the horizon this was the perfect time to finally play one of these. The second playthrough felt redundant as the Human PLUS upgrades don’t appreciably change the game. Cumbersome controls aside it was a fun mastery, but that final climb with the floating cubes is AWFUL.

Mastered/Platinado GG! That was good! There was some really hard achievements but nothing impossible, you can totally do it.

I recommend doing the "Terminator T-800" first or you will have to beat the game 2x. I did the "Perfectionist" first and since you beat the game you cant do the human+ anymore, gotta start new game to make it work.

Great set! There's one, maybe two, achievements that I could have done without. The "all parts" one felt like a straight up waste of time, and I'd have split the "Terminator T-800" into the original 6 Human PLUS upgrades / the final one for weight limit into separate achievements to avoid a redundant playthrough, but overall it felt like a good guide to seeing everything in a game I'd never finished back in the day.
