	BoxyFoxyMyu 21 Sep 2024 17:39 Tips for mastering this. -never give up, and adapt, some of these license tests have some very unique tricks that you can get faster times in there are youtube videos that can also give you great insights on this. -arcade mode just play on the highest difficulty. best cars for this is are (Chevrolet corvette 427 coupe A class, Mitsubishi Eclipse B class, and C class either Honda civic 3 door or Mitsu Mirage Asti RX) - Best cars for simulation mode (Nismo R400 from all golds IA reward fully upgraded, Viper GTS for the American vs UK can be used for non modified requirement races wins really easy, and lastly GTO twin turbo from Mitsubishi fully upgraded these cars alone will win pretty much every race in the game aside maybe 1 or two) Mastered this game today, and those are the tips from a long time player that played GT since the start of the series back in the 90s day one on the original hardware. Next up for mastery is Gran Turismo 2. im going to continue till every gran turismo is mastered. even the demo!

	ALPHAFalke 22 Nov 2024 22:41 Mastered on November 22nd. Thanks for the nice set. I played it 10 years ago and was very desperate for days at the A-License as well as at the Megaspeed-Cup. Today it is much easier for me, because I have a lot of racing experience in games. The only problems for me are still the licenses A-1, A-4, A-5 and A-8, but I finally made it again. And it really made a lot of fun, although the game is very old. ^^
	ALPHAFalke 22 Nov 2024 23:14 By the way, my personal preference: For me, the best "normal" car is the "Nismo 400R" and the best "racing car" is the "[R] TVR Cerbera LM" because of its (low) weight. For the MegaSpeed Cup, I chose the "[R] Dodge Viper GTS-R" because I think it has the highest top speed. (Please correct me if I'm wrong) :-)

GT1 was my 1st game in retroachivements, and i didnt know the stuff, so i obtain the B-A-Ai test in softcore, so the game appear to me in "beaten" but not the usually silver. May i did the tests in new save, or simply repeat all will give me the hardcore achivements?
	ALPHAFalke 25 Jan 2025 16:06 Hi @carcloud , In RetroAchievements, achievements earned in Softcore don’t count toward Hardcore progress. To fix this for Gran Turismo 1: 1. Delete Softcore Achievements: Go to the RetroAchievements website, log in, find the game, and manually delete the B, A, and IA license achievements earned in Softcore. 2. Start a New Save (and backup): Backup your current save if you want to keep it for later. Then, start a new save in DuckStation with Hardcore Mode enabled (no save states, cheats, etc.). Play through the licenses again to unlock them in Hardcore. 3. Keep Other Achievements: You only need to redo the Softcore ones. All existing Hardcore achievements remain intact. - Tip for DuckStation: Enable Hardcore Mode under Settings > Achievements. If you need more help, feel free to ask! 😉

If you play on Hardcore and trigger an achievement already unlocked on Softcore, it will update it on you profile as unlocked on Hardcore and change the unlock time for it. You must start a new memory card for the "Earn license" achievements. They won't trigger on completed saves.

I’ve tested this with both DuckStation and PCSX2, and re-triggering Softcore achievements in Hardcore mode usually works as he explained. However, a year ago, I had an issue with a PS2 game where an achievement didn’t trigger in Hardcore mode after I had unlocked it in Softcore. I tried twice, and it only worked after I manually reset the achievement. Not sure why—maybe just a fluke! Good luck with the licenses.

Demorei 19 horas e em tempo real foi 2 dias, sendo que hoje eu joguei 15 horas consecutivas do jogo Se você quer deixar o jogo mais fácil, rushe todos as licenças ouro e use e abuse do Nismo 400R que é ganhado ao completar a licença IA com ouro em tudo. Tenha noção pra gerenciar seu dinheiro bem, porque os eventos não dão tanto dinheiro (principalmente no early game), mas se você fazer uma endurance no começo, você vai ganhar de 150k até 300k. No modo arcade, use o Corvette antigo e o impreza wrx versão 3 pra correr na classe A, Soarer na classe B e Civic na classe C, e sempre correndo no modo difícil porque você precisa pra liberar as conquistas de direção limpa. Tirando essas coisas específicas, é um jogo super dboa pra platinar, não tem conquista que você pode perder, maioria é progressão. Eu só não recomendo jogar o primeiro GT porque ele não envelheceu bem; O carro fica quicando quando passa em zebra, você precisa queimar o motor pra terceira ou segunda marcha pra fazer curvas fechadas e as licenças são as mais difíceis da franquia. Isso dito, foi um jogão, tem um motivo pra ele ser o jogo mais vendido do play 1.

So for those whom have mastered this preferably on Duckstation, what settings matters if any of them? I know somE said to "disable high FPS", to which there's no option to, so do I need to play this at 30FPS?
