3rd Set done in my goal to clear all the Spyro's! Still my favorite of the og trilogy, will always be. I would literally 100% this game twice in a day as a kid just out of love for it. The achievement list didn't give a whole lotta trouble though, mainly at fault of the super flame power up being present and making for an easy legal cheese, but I kinda expected the list to have that in mind and give some harder challenges like 1's had here and there (such as clearing the Blowhard level super fast). Having a goal to clear the skill points was nice though, never realized I never found a few of them as a kid!

Mastered. This is everyone's favourite Spyro game for some reason, but I dunno. It's full of interruptions and janky minigames, the most random and incongruous scenarios, level design where it's really easy to miss nooks and crannies with things in them, and probably a whole lot of other things I could nitpick about. And backtracking, with levels that force you to replay missions when you revisit them. And platformer swimming. And a bizarre fixation on spitting rocks. Damn it.

It's a good game, it's still Spyro after all, but I have no particular affection for any of the elements this game introduced to the formula. I like 1 more for just being a good platformer, and I like 3 more for being more fully realised as a kitchen sink sequel.

I would make some comment about this set being a bare minimum checklist of vanilla content but it's only that way because Insomniac already put speedway time trials and damageless bosses in the game as skill points. Game developer doing RA achievement design since 1999, hah.

Mastered #25. This game is solid at what it sets out to do, but it falls short when you realize it's the sequel to one of the best 3D platformers of all time. The second one trades the level design of the first, with its amazing world, great verticality and pure platforming challenges, for slightly polished gameplay, trickier bosses, and frustrating minigames. It wasn't worth it.

I enjoy Spyro 2, but it's definitely a step down from the first game in my opinion. The backtracking, minigames and dumbing down the platforming aspect definitely makes the game feel less fluid. Good set though, didn't have to go too far out of my way to complete it and was fun to beat the bosses without taking damage. Thanks for the set!

Second game I have mastered and fittingly for the second title in the series. The damageless requirements for Gulp and especially Ripto's three phases present an incredible challenge. Though eventually I overcame them to master this achievement set. It was quite enjoyable to play this game again with achievements.

The good part of Spyro is not great, just because I think that orbs and scattering skills around the worlds are kind of stuffy. At first, I struggled with the final boss, not knowing that the bonus card gives a fireball hahaha.

Mastered not long after mastering Spyro 1. I dont remember playing this one as much as a child. I remember 1 and Year of the Dragon quite vividly, but not this one. Nevertheless, still a very fun and fulfilling set to complete. This game does feel a lot more "floaty" with the controls after playing 1, I find myself dying/being set back by falling off cliffs due to Spyro turn radius and glide controls. The speedrun achievements on this game were much easily than the first, none took me more than 1 or two tries after beating the flying levels normally. The Dragon Shores breath powerup made the perfect boss fights trivial to complete. All in all, enjoyed my time, looking forward to the next one.

Didn't enjoy the not taking damage Gulp, as it was unpredictable till you play it dozen times to get the knack of it. Used the duckstation. Backtracked for few skill points after beating Ripto, glad there wasn't any no damage run or intense speedrun time limit from start to end too. Believe i had finished Spyro 2 like 4 times in the past as well. Finding out that i don't enjoy the mini-games, just takes the fun away imo.
