Every boss cheev has failed to unlock the first time I beat them, but DID unlock the second time I beat it (or in one case, the level behind it).

Has anyone had trouble accessing the bonus levels? I've tried hammering start, even mapping it as a turbo button but still can't see to get the bonus button to pop up.

I find that turbo buttons are just a tad slower than I can manage unaided... and it took me several tries before I got it. Just keep trying it, and hopefully it'll be fast enough eventually.

I had no luck getting the bonus levels to appear in Retroarch, but got it first try in RAP64.

Cheers @CanadianLooni, I've tried both and still can't get it. Shame because it's all I need to master. I think I'm just going to try to move on with my life ;)

@professorgascan Bummer! One last thing to maybe try is to start mashing start just before you boot the game, just in case there's a small lag between when the game boots and when you actually see it on screen. That's what I did with RAP.

Game brings back memories. When I was a kid, I named the final boss "Lord Baggypants."

Part of me thought this whole game was a fever dream, glad to see my childhood memories were somewhat accurate.

Looks like this is going to be a set I will have to skip because of an impossibly difficult button mashing section. Shame really because I wanted to try this one out. :/ If someone knows how to to do this properly with Turbo then I would appreciate the help!

Nevermind lmao. Just tried again on a new day, reassigned my turbo button to R2, and got it first try. Now I can get this cheev and finally be able to enjoy this game!

And mastered! This was an alright game, it's the black sheep among the franchise and for good reason. I have a gut feeling the localization team made it much more difficult to 100% the game because they didn't want players to reach Gossick star, which is honestly a pretty dickish on their part.

The time achievements were alot less problematic then I was expecting, so their a lot more fair than some of the other timed mission based sets I've played.

I have a feeling that DrPixel gave certain cheevs an excessive amount of points to bloat out the set. Why does a couple of the area achievements have 25 points instead of 10 like the rest? Why is completing the final boss in Gossick Star 50 points when he isn't that hard?

Besides those oddities, it was a decent set.
