I thought this was a case of Apple's "apostrophe" (closing single quote) striking again, but this title is using acute accent intended as character diacritics. Maybe still Apple though.

This was the better Cruis'n game IMO, and it has a fun unlock system that would be great for achievements.

It kicks my balls that this game hasn't been Dev'ed yet to have achievements. USA and somehow Exotica get it, but not World? my OCD hurts

I added a bunch of code notes when I had the claim for this game. Hopefully that helps someone with a bit more time and skill to finish the set. Unfortunately this was the first game I tried to create achievements for and it required a little more dedication than I was prepared for. The code notes are in place for someone at least making basic achievements for unlocking the secret cars and winning the championships.

I think for the sake of everyone who is picking this game up and, apparently, immediately putting it down, I should tell everyone - the game starts off ridiculously slow, but after a couple of championships you will unlock speeds 2 and 3. Speed 3 is actually fun to play. After that you unlock speeds 4 and 5 which are even more intense. Do not be fooled by how the game seems to play at first because there is a very fun racing game buried under a very stupid design decision to lock your speed very low at first.

FINALLY! The missing Cruis'n game on RA! I always thought it was odd we had USA and Exotica, but not World. I grew up with USA and a little bit of World, so I was disappointed that Exotica got a spot long before this one did. Thank you to the Dev, very appreciative and happy about it

Mastered! Many thanks for this set, PsyHunter29. I had a great time revisiting this childhood classic of mine. I remember this one was one of the first two games I got with my N64 when I was a kid, the other one being SM64. I love racing games and played a heck of a lot of Cruis'n back then on the arcades, so of course I had to have the home console version as well. =D

Honestly, I thought the achievements here were going to be a lot more difficult, given the unlock rates so far, but it was all pretty manageable. First thing most people should do is focus on the Championship mode to unlock everything. The game may seem somewhat slow at first, but once you unlock stuff, things start progressing faster.

I normally drove either the Stallion P6 or the Zombie XXX. First tourney on Easy, I focused on doing as many tricks as I could in Germany and Egypt. From there, once you start unlocking the rest of the power levels, move up on the tourneys. Getting a boost launch and drifting are key to winning. Also, watch out for the CPUs because they are murderous as hell. Try to keep your distance from them or do wheelies to avoid their attacks/crashes.

Once you have Power Level 3 or 4 unlocked, you should have access to the Bonus tournament on Master difficulty. Simply focus on repeating the first track, Russia, for easy wins and points until you get the required 9,999 to unlock Speed Demon. With this car, beating Cruise the World without replaying any tracks should be a piece of cake. Lower to Power Level 1, pick Speed Demon, and drive carefully while avoiding traffic to win each race. For the Very Hard difficulty Cruise the World, I recommend Power Level 2 with Speed Demon.

Once that's done, beating the times on Championship practice should be easy with this car on Power Level 5. The only one that's a real piece of work is France! For this one, you need manual transmission, boost launch, perfect drift in each corner, never hit anything, and practice. Good luck! =D
