Turns out, that currently writing this comment, the latest version of retroarch and Genesis cores for it do not hash/validate/whatever SegaCD games. My dumps work fine on windows Retroarch but give "unknown game" with switch and same dumps. At first I thought it was CHD compression but that is fine with most cores, including SegaCD at least on Windows.

Works fine for me with 1.9.13 and latest genesis plus gx core. I use chd for all my segacd games. Try another rip and check 'information' in retroarch to verify the hash matches.

Mastered! Just wanted to say that I appreciate the achievement devs putting in the General rank one despite there being uncertainty about how to get it, I dug in deep to figure it out and it was super satisfying. My favorite thing about achievements is to solve hard problems and learn about interesting hidden things, and this set did both. Thank you so much!

Heads up but many of the achievements are missable. That said, I recommend any 1st time players to NOT use a guide and enjoy the game's mysteries blind. A followup playthrough can be your cleanup one.

Fantastic game and great (relatively spoiler-free) achievements, really enjoyed the whole thing. The 2 save run took about an hour with fast forward, and General was a lot less annoying than I anticipated, got it on my 1st attempt. Check the achievement comments for tips from a lot of people.

~15 hours later, and a new game added to my favorites list. Highly recommended, even if you don't care for adventure games or VNs.

Don't forget to really press the start button and not A, B or C. Start launches the game, the others the CD player. I am ashamed to admit that I never owned a MegaCD and it's probably the same with all the MegaCD games but I couldn't understand why the hash was good, the pop-up window indicating the number of achievements appeared but then, no game, just the built-in CD player :o

Mastered! This game was AWESOME, my first experience with it ever.

Everything was so well done in the game. My one complaint with the game in conjunction to this set is that the blaster controls were frustrating. It requires you to be damn near perfect for several of the achievements, but the blaster refuses to fire sometimes. I never once fully understood when it happened or how to prevent it, I just threw my face at the wall until I got one attempt that fulfilled the requirements for shooting.

My learns for anyone trying to master this:

1. Take 3 playthroughs to comfortably beat this. You could try and do it in 2, but you’re trying to reach a damn near perfect rank on 2 saves max, sending you back hours for missing one single shot.

2. Do as many missable sidequest achievements like flirting with women in Alton Plaza and similar stuff in the first playthrough. The second/third will be used on getting a General rank, where you can’t waste time with this stuff.

3. The General rank is quite ambiguous, nobody knows the exact parameters to safely achieve it. I would recommend going into the last page on the Official Forum and using the guide posted on the final page. It’s an exact step by step guide, and I achieved it using it.

Fun game, finally finished it after a few starts and getting distracted each time. Set was fun to, I think I'm gonna playthrough again go for a master once I find a good little CRT for my setup. Hopefully getting General Rank isn't too much of a pain. Now onto Policenauts.

I think games in this vane could really be popular if done right by indie devs. I had all kinds of ideas throughout playing of new concepts for the genre.

Filmaço, devia ter algum ova disso, gostei muito da investigação e a ambientação do game, me lembrou muito o blade runner e akira. É praticamente um filme e a parte que a gente joga é aquela de atirar nos snatchers, que é muito simples mas é bacana. A única que achei complicada foi a última com os insetos pulando pra todo lado.

Conheci só agora esse jogo e me fascinou, vale a pena uma jogada pra conhecer essa história

Played this to get my last point for the Christmas event.

Acts 1 & 2 I really enjoyed. Act 3 not so much. A very Kojima ending with little gameplay and a massive info dump of exposition to explain things. Although I've been told Act 3 wasn't in the original version on MSX and was added because it was pretty much guaranteed there would be no sequel (although it still ends like it leading into another game).

I might come back to Master this one at a later date but I'm a bit run down on it for the time being.
