7 old achievements fixed and returned, 80 new achievements are released. When playing with retroarch, for some achievements to work correctly, version 1.8.7 or later is needed.

Achievements for passing a certain level with an additional condition contain anti-glitch protection. The gist of said protection is that many barriers in significant for a normal playthrough places should be removed (locks unlocked, electricity turned off, 2-block gaps covered etc), all the keys required to finish a level should be picked up etc.

Nice touch putting the passwords for the levels in the achievements. Make it easier than writing them all down for later when I want to try the challenges.

Jenius1, this set was demoted a long time ago. When I returned the set instead of the old achievements for completing the level with at least 3 hp for each Viking (it was allowed to heal, there were 15 of them, they also had vulnerabilities allowing you to get them for free), I made new ones for completing the same levels without damage, also I did not return 2 achievements to the farm movement due to the lack of real sense in them. 6 achievements for completing the last level of the zone and an achievement for completing the last level without damage were returned.

The above videos will also be relevant for 95% of the Lost Vikings MegaDrive set (it has 5 additional levels which aren't in the SNES version)

Why does FNTM level has anti-glitch protection for the fan? Looks like it forces Baleog to break the target to switch it off to prevent Eric's off-screen float. But the blue key may also be reached without floating at all just by-walking around with a route to the right and a simple jump afterwards. Fans do not interact with Vikings being not inflated, and it rather a "feature" that a glitch. So this protection looks like thinking on behalf of the game designer what the level should be.

Following the same logic, the lower red key should be taken by Olaf only, without Eric's SUPER jump.

By the way, Gen version does not have the same off-screen float short-cut protection on WRLR level as NES version does. Is this supposed to be a bug?

What kind of protection is not in the Genesis set that is present in the SNES set? The code is written a little differently, but in general, the protection checks the bits responsible for the same actions. There is no protection in achievements for the world without restarts, but this is also true for both sets (the only difference is in the last level of achievements for the world without restarts, which in the Genesis version has protection, unlike the SNES version where these achievements have no protection at all).

Oh, I thought Immortal achievement should have had off screen float protection, as well as Collector for specific levels does.

I recall I first was mastering the genesis version, and got Collector on both FNTM and WRLR. And then I learnt the off screen float to skip the Baleog part on the first and Eric/Olaf part on the latter. And got Immortal using both shortcuts.

Now I am mastering SNES, used fan skip on FNTM, and discovered the antiglitch for Collector. Not sure whether the Immortal was dropped as well, but I decided not to use the shortcuts anymore. :)

So if you say that Immortal does not protect from not deactivating the fans... I believe there should be such protaction. :)
