Rescore proposal:
25 > 5
Total Point Value: 500 > 480
This achievement can be gotten extremely early on in the game and boils down to mashing the A button in front of an NPC for about a minute. There's no trick to it, it's literally that simple. The hardest part of the achievement is finding the specific NPC and even that's trivialized either by looking at the comments or with a little bit of trial and error because there aren't that many NPCs in the town.

It would be awesome, but if I read the readme right, only BSNES supports the SGB/MSU-1 version, and BSNES doesn't support Retro Achievements...=(

Does it?? Then I'll have to track this one down! =D

NoNick: I looked into this, and you're right - Mesen-S does not support Hardcore mode at the moment. Shame, since it is - far as I know - the only achievements-supported emulator with complete Super Game Boy compatibility. A slight bummer when playing Donkey Kong '94 or Kirby's Dream Land 2...If it did previously support Hardcore mode, I wonder what happened...
As for the mGBA sound-stutter, that's a bit more curious...I don't experience any stutter with mine. But I do have a couple of suggestions to try:
- When you boot up he game, go to 'Core Options' and 'Performance'. Check to see if 'Idle Loop Removal' is set to 'Remove Known'. This is my default selection, but the description underneath makes it sound like the CPU doesn't enjoy it if the emulator is running the wrong option.
- If the previous option is not different, then maybe another issue - And I'm just throwing something at a wall here - Is RetroArch's default audio driver. My memory's a bit fuzzy, but when I first installed RetroArch, the sound driver (Settings -> Drivers -> Audio) was set to 'dsound'. If that's the selection on your settings, then that could very-well be the problem; I want to say that's an older driver and some of the more recent emulators don't enjoy it too much - Beetle Saturn doesn't like it at all, and causes similar stuttering issues. Switch to 'xaudio' while the core is not running (You may also want to shut off RetroArch and relaunch it to make sure the change takes effect). Maybe that'll fix the issue...?
And if that doesn't help, stick to Gambatte. Why mess with what works, right? =)

This is why Mesen-S can no longer be used for Game Boy games.

LordAndrew: That is....kind of unfortunate...but I play mostly in Softcore anyway, so as long as SOME support exists... =)
NoNick: That makes a lot of sense, since RetroArch defaulted me to 64ms when I first downloaded it, and I haven't touched that setting. I had to do a bit of researching, but it appears I get dsound support because I use an Intel processor. Meanwhile, xaudio comes installed with Windows starting with DirectX 9c...I'm going to hazard a guess and say xaudio's wider accessibility means more emulators support that one primarily.
Or maybe I'm just randomly speaking Carny. I like to think I know when I often don't.

Could the Titlescreen hack be added please? It provides 4 different titlescreens to choose from.

Although if such a version was to be added, maybe the restored edition would be better?
https://www.romhacking.net/hacks/4625/
This version requires a fix though. Also available on romhacking.net
