Was surprisingly easy once you know that you can peek through the light pan tiles. And also how the tools do damage should be helpful for peeps:

- The small tool removes 2 layers of tile from the center and one layer from each cardinal direction.
- The large tool removes 2 layers of tile from the center and each direction and 1 layer from the diagonals. It damages the wall more than the small tool.

Generally speaking, use the small tool for most of your mining. When you overturn a treasure or sphere, reason about the fewest hits required to dig it out.
