For this one, skip the Tri-Point. The Tri-Point is located in a room behind the Sphinx boss, you can walk right next to the Sphinx to go for the Tri-Point.

Doing some quick math. I'm seeing 124 enemies in the bestiary. We subtract one due to lack of Scan ability, so that's 123. Add in 6 permanent characters and 5 guests. That's 134. Ultimecia with 3 forms, Griever, and the bottom of the fourtb form make 139.

Who are the other 5? Do the different color Propagators provide additional entries?

Okay, looks like the four propagators are all counted, the Helix from Ultimecia and also Sphinxaur and Sphinxara are being counted as two separate entries. I think that covers them all. Just gotta make sure I don't miss them.

How do you scan the UFO? It doesn't show up as a target when it appears on screen.

There are 5 encounters with the UFO. Just scan the last one.

Okay, I kept resetting each time I had the encounter before because no target was available when I tried casting Scan and then they'd be suddenly no longer be on screen. I was worried that I'd eventually be out of opportunities or that I was doing something wrong.

Yeah you can skip Tri-Point.

It's been a little bit so my memory is hazy but you're allowed to miss one of the 8 bosses in the Castle, as Magic is unavailable for your first match. I think what matters is that your first one isn't any of the ones that have multiple forms (Sphinxaur/Sphinxara, etc )

Can anyone confirm that if I go after Tri-point first, this will still pop since I won't be able to scan him?

Also, besides Odin, are there any enemies in the castle that are needed?
Or can I have Enc-None on?

Can someone help me with the ones marked with ** especially Helix? I couldn't find helix in my last run

All the ** ones are part of the Ultimecia fight. Helix is the weird little floating thing that appears in the air.

I'm pretty sure as long as you do all the bosses and get every part of Ultimecia, you've got it all covered

Had to do Ultimecia twice, killed Griever X Ultimecia too fast, so remember to wait her to summon Helix.

Yes. You can skip scanning the Tri-Point, because magic is blocked by Ultimecia. You must unlock Magic, after beat Tri-Point. According your list, only bosses left to scan. Be careful with Sphinxaur, you need scan him twice, in the beginning of fight and after his mask broken. Droma appear in the Trauma boss fight. Ulti lower its a part with Apocalypse spell. Rinoa must be scanned twice in ordinary battle and in Adel boss fight. Seems you ok with other monsters, fell free to use Enc No ability

I thought I was on track and then did the math with the boss gauntlet in Ultimecia's Castle and ended up with 143/144 with no idea what I missed. I don't think it was an unmissable one but I've been playing long enough that I just want to finish. At least this playthrough taught me about the RetroArch feature on Vita that makes it so you don't lose your progress is the thing crashes instead of exiting properly.
