Important Note: You basically need a lead with Pressure, Hustle or Vital Spirit for this. Due to how the encounter slot mechanic works, it's actually a double 1% chance, meaning 1/10000 without it. The above abilities have a 50% chance of forcing the highest level in an encounter slot however, so it becomes a 1% to hit the slot and then a 50% to get the Lv. 100, so 1/200 total.

Very annoying achievement, this took like 4 hours of fishing for me :( Catching Feebas in Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl combined took less time than this one :(

It took me 218 catches to get it. So pretty close to the 1/200 ratio.

This took about 2 days for me. I spend around 3 hours fishing yesterday and nothing. Then today it only took about 17 Magikarp before I came across a level 100. lol

It also doesn't help that my reflexes are complete garbage and I was missing more than I was reeling in. That was definitely the cause of this taking longer than it should have. >.>

It's such a shame though that you can't actually tell the guy swimming in the pool that you caught the hidden ruler of the resort area.

I'm having this weird glitch in both cores that the Super Rod instantly let's pokemon, i don't have the posibility to reel them in.

Got super lucky and was able to get this in less than an hour. This makes up for the munchlax taking over 5 days lmao

Currently at 500 fishing encounters. This is definitely an experience. I've gotten 5 Level 90s so far which is good for grinding Elite Four later.

One thing I noticed though that I don't think anyone brought up is that the encounter animation changes slightly depending on the level Magikarp. For level 60 and 70 the waves move a little bit faster left to right and for levels 80 and 90 it flashes white as well. Not sure if a different one is for level 100 but assume it still flashes white. Just a little detail but thought I'd post about it :)

60ish casts. Pretty fast, had to swap from the speed up patch due to it making the rod instantly let pokemon off the hook.

Took around 300 (counter was at 301 but I might've missed some or added extra somewhere) casts with the 1/200 method, glad to have gotten this out of the way.
