The achievement didn't proc with Seedot/Shiftry/Solrock/Mawile/Zangoose/Groudon. The conditions of this one badly need to be specified in the achievement.

Pretty sure you're not supposed to use legendaries. Swap out Groudon for Nuzleaf and try again.

At least the sapphire version of this achievement does say you aren't supposed to use legendaries. There's always a bit of discrepancy.

Dumb question, is Latios not considered version exclusive because of the island event? (thinking in terms of rematch... nothing here says this has to be your first go) Or maybe, as some previous comments indicate, legends are banned?

I mean getting the island event requires link to get the Eon Ticket, as such it's not neccesarily version exclusive (since, well, it's the non-island roamer in Ruby) and link in general is banned in these achievements usually.

Did this with a lvl 60 Zangoose. Swords Dance, Aerial Ace, Slash and a whole lot of x items and heals will do it. I will say, this achievement would've been so much better if it wasn't "fixed" and was just left it as intended by the original dev.

Got it this morning. Shoutout @ccrool for the Zangoose advice. Level 66 Adamant Zan w/ Silk Scarf. 2 swords dances at the start of each battle and he swept. His Slash/Aerial Ace/Pursuit were heaters. Used maybe 5-6 Hyper Potions onnem.

Basically, Seedot, Nuzleaf, Shiftry, Solrock, Zangoose and Mawile. My Zangoose pretty much carried this run.

How is this same challenge in pokemon red better than here? is stupid that I have to used Seedot and Nuzleaf to fill the 2 spaces where Masquerain, Medicham or Roselia could be in, this just turned in a Zangoose Sword dance sweep, I didn't used to other for how useless they are, you know what would been really nice? having a fighting type for the champion, A shame there is NONE fighting pokemon that are exclusive in Ruby... what a shame.

It's important to mention that all 6 Pokemon have to be unique. You will have to take Seedot and Nuzleaf in your team instead of just 2 Solrocks for example.

Closed my emulator and continued my save from the title screen and swept with my zangoose. The acheivement did not trigger, so i don't know what I am missing. Any tips?

Commenting in case this helps anyone, I saved my game inside of the Pokemon League building right between the two blonde guys (Cooltrainers?). This was my first Hall of Fame team.

My team in order was Zangoose, Solrock, Mawile, Seedot, Shiftry, and Nuzleaf.

I used only Zangoose and Shiftry. Only held item was Amulet Coin.

Zangoose Lv. 80 (Basically the only pokemon I used once I got him at Route 114)
- Lonely Nature: Slash, Pursuit, Hidden Power (Steel), Swords Dance

Shiftry Lv 52 (Used before Zangoose and for double battles)
- Lonely Nature: Faint Attack, Nature Power, Synthesis, Extrasensory

I used Shiftry to deal with Phoebe's team; otherwise, set up Zangoose once with Swords Dance and sweep with Slash/Hidden Power. For Steven, I set up Swords Dance three times before sweeping.

I'm sure someone else can clarify, but I only said that I got the achievement after my first Pokemon League run.

For anyone who's curious, this triggers exactly on the save screen right before it automatically saves, so if you're doing the POC subset at the same time, you can safely save before Steven and only have to rebattle him. But you have to be quick to pull up open the RA menu. You'll get the corrupt save message, but it'll revert to where you last saved.

But make a backup of your save for before the league, just in case the save goes through
