Remember, to breed Azurill you need a male and female Marill from Route 117 and you need to give one of them the Sea Incense from Mt. Pyre. Each Azurill egg has a 1/4 chance of working for this achievement. Basically, you need to roll a 3/4 chance that the egg is a female Azurill and then depending on the hidden personality value there is a 1/3 chance that it will become male after evolution. I recommend getting a bunch of Azurill eggs, getting a full party of female azurill, and then biking back and forth on Route 117 until they are all at high friendship. Then save and use rare candies to check if they work. This is an interesting easter egg / bug in the older generations, I had never heard of it before.

Well actually you can breed any pokemon from marill's egg group as long as the female carries the sea incense. Its good for those who want an extra egg move to go with it. Although its faster if you breed 2 marills

I hatched seven male azurills before getting six females, i don't know the odds of that but i also miss play rough half the time😂

Used WKGames method and got it on the first batch of female azurills. Simplified the method should go as such:

1. Get a Male and Female Marill (route east of Fortree city has a pond under a bridge, easiest place to get them) and the Sea Incense.
2. Give the Female Marill the Sea Incense and place both Marill in the day care.
3. Ride around on the bike until you get 5 eggs
4. Ride around until those eggs hatch. (If you have any Male azurill, release them and repeat steps 3 and 4 until you have all Female azurill)
5. Ride around until their happiness is high (about 30-35 down-and-backs from route 117 through Mauville city and route 118 with the Soothe bell on each azurill should be enough to reach max happiness)
6. Head to Verdanturf city and check to verify all azurill have high happiness, if they do SAVE YOUR GAME FIRST and raise them by 1 level and they will evolve into marill. If it's gender changed to Male the achievement should pop.
7. If none of them changed gender after evolving, return to step 3 and start again.

Again, I only had to do this one time but you know how RNG can be sometimes. Happy hunting.

it took me 6 azurrils, most annoying part was the time wasted upgrading their friendship, but at least i didn't went into double digits
