    hellfire helps a lot, but make sure to always have a bit of mp so you can use the bat form to uncorner yourself. Also I did this at lv 64 (farmed the bugbears at the pinnacle with yoko's ice spell) to get the amount of damage i needed to speed the fight up

    That youtube link was very helpful. The warp slash (power attack button) is key to the first phase. I found it much easier to just walk under the legs when the second phase was jumping than to backdash.

    Agree that running under him is much easier than backdashing. Adjusted strategies after reading this thread and got it a few tries later.
