Tip: you have to spray a different tree after battling a honey tree pokemon before u respray the tree you battled. Otherwise your Munchlax odds are 0.1% instead of 1%.

There are 4 Honey Trees in all of Sinnoh that have a 1% chance of attracting a Munchlax. The rest don't have a chance at all.

(Your Trainer ID is on your Trainer Pass, your Secret ID can be found with the Link Searcher on the Pokétch.)
Every 6 hours there's a high chance something was attracted.
Make sure not to immediately re-slather trees immediately after battling them, as it's very likely you get a Pokémon from the same group as before.

I'm not sure how many people actually know this, but if you change the clock on your computer, it doesn't mess up events like if you changed the time on your DS.

So if you slather honey on the trees that are supposed to have a munchlax, save and turn off your emulator, (though make sure you are not in the same area as your trees when you exit the emulator) move the time ahead on your computer by 6 hours, then go back in the game, the trees you slathered with honey should have pokemon attached to them. No need to actually wait 6 hours to check. Just keep slathering trees with honey, and moving your PC clock ahead 6 hours until you get a muchlax.

I feel like im losing my mind, i've been going slathering the same 4 trees according to my trainer id and secret id for 3 days now with no results. Am i doing something wrong? After battling I leave straight away to check another tree and then come back to slather that one. Just to make sure, I'm playing on RALibRetro and in order to get the secret id i use the link searcher? Is it the number that shows up in the bottom right as a pop up?

Managed to catch a full odds shiny pikachu before the munchlax, Thankfully got it in the end but christ man. It's a super annoying mechanic for the honey tree stuff damn

Depois de um mês inteiro consegui acha ele, mas foi só fazendo a rotina de checar todas as árvores, eu n fiz o esquema de saber qual árvore era dele pelo ID de treinador, ou seja dei muita sorte. Quase chorei quando ele apareceu KKKKJJ sério achei que ele n existia n
