how am i suppose to do this with RALibretro?
Am not sure if you can enter the DS Bios whit retroarch, but i'm pretty sure that you can't do that with RALibretro.
Can someone help me whit this?
I would also be willing to switch to retroarch if someone tell me how to access to the Bios with that.
I'll be good even with some kind of solution that don't include to access to the Bios.

In RALibretro you need to enable "Rich Presence Monitor". Go to the calendar app in game. It will display your nds birthday. Then go to adjust your date and time on your computer and your good to go.

I feel like an idiot but what’s with the leaderboard birthday date thing? I’m on retroarch and am trying to figure out how this achievement’s supposed to work.

Get your calendar app open and it will display your birthday in a popup.

Then change your pc to match the date and go trigger your achievement

Weirdly the date that the popup gives me is “24:00:00” so I’m not quite sure what to do with that lol

I am getting the same as CaptainEffort. Using melonDS retroarch core with emulation station desktop edition. I edited the birthday in DS BIOS but it still displays “24:00:00” when using the calendar app with Leaderboards enabled. Not sure how to earn this achievement.

I’ll send the save next time I get a chance, but wanted to add that I also edited my birthday in the bios like sharpie44, and still have the same “24:00:00” issue. I’ll send it in a few hours though!

Figured out the “24:00:00” issue for at least my setup.

Hopefully this helps others.

After booting the retro arch core go to the retro arch “Quick Menu”. (Should be a hotkey) From there “Core Options” -> “System”. Then disable “Boot Game Directly” and enable “Use Firmware Settings”.

Then restart the core. It should boot you to the DS start menu/BIOS. From there edit your birthday and confirm. The DS menu/BIOS will “Shutdown” when you are done editing settings.

Restart the core again and go fully in the game.

The calendar app fully displayed the birthday entered and when I talked with Dawn, the achievement popped.

It appears that when you don't have the “Use Firmware Settings” enabled for the core, the core just gives it default values like “24:00:00”.

Sharpie, you are my hero! I had disabled “boot game directly” before, and set my birthday within the BIOS, but totally missed the “use firmware settings” option in the quick menu. Glad I finally got this sorted out, thank you so much!

I’m setting my irl birthday tho, so unfortunately I’ve got like a year to wait lmao. Idk why I do this to myself.

This is the worst kind of achievement I have seen ngl, spend more time outside the game and the birthday dialogue wasn't even nearly worth it for all that hassle...
