Inclined to disagree since technically all challenge type achievements are trial and error or brute forcing, and don't tell me that you didn't look up how to get the color gems, so should the cheevo for them also be removed?

My point was if we remove achievements based on requiring a guide, trial and error or brute forcing then you'd have to remove vast majority of achievements from the site.
To me this was no different than like getting platinum relics which you either look up a guide for or just keep trying trial and error.

insane cheevo for a main set, but also insanely satisfying to try...so i don't mind. doing it blind is r-type levels of difficulty: trial-and-error and memorizing.

pessoal, achei uma maneira simples para pegar essa conquista e o da outra fase,o método que eu usei foi deixar o jogo em uma janela e colocar uma outra janela um video onde essas fases estão iluminadas,esse jeito fez eu platinar aqui,eu espero que isso ajude :)
ps: no nível 23 chamado Night Fight,você terá que ter aprendido o método do pulo mais alto com o giro,para conseguir ultrapassar um dos vagalumes

I almost did it first try. I recommend you have your phone on par with your game to watch a yt video of the actual level and its pretty easy

Not as intimidating as I thought it'd be. There's enough leeway to where you don't have to be perfect. It's still quite tricky though, but I thought I'd be grinding this for hours. You could probably just stick to the edges and brute force your way through the level - although a video for reference does help.

Weirdly, I preferred this one to the equivalent in Night Fight simply because all the fireflies are easily avoidable so no real danger of a total reset of the run unless you're really careless.

Not a fan of it at all. But it's whatever, done after like give or take ~35 lives gone into the abyss cuz y'know can't see worth a damn. Simply dreadful.

That wasn't fun, I think I'd rather do totally bear under 1:19 again, at least there you see the mistakes you make. It wouldn't be as bad if accidentally hitting a firefly after a checkpoint forced you to restart, although you can avoid them if you take it slowly but still

You can get checkpoint boxes and die, which was a relief to me, so it's not like you have to do the WHOLE thing in one go without lights. But I basically slide-jumped on the side the entire time and wasted lives. Mushrooms are a big tell.

To my surprise, there's actually lots of space to sit on the side. There are also a lot of Flat, jutting walls that you have to frustratingly work around, and overhead sections that stifle your vertical ability.

I think ANY choice to visually hinder the player in a video game is "cheap" difficulty already, so having to do a level in near-complete darkness was just a 'huck it over the falls' type deal.

Fwiw I think this achievement is not that hard. I got it in maybe my 15th to 20th life in one run (so I got checkpoints). I did play the video guide in .5x speed, look at the lit path first, and then the dark guide, and did it step by step.

well, it was really fun and challenging

spent approximately 50 lives

just run through borderlines and catch checkpoints

This is such a miserable achievement to go for. Took so long to be able to clear it. I am NOT looking forward to Night Fight's version.
