I had a problem because I didn't get it the first time, but playing new game to warp 2 helped.

I had the same issue. I triggered it, but I noted that I did not get 10 lives. I got 3? Maybe 5 at most. I'm not sure if it gives you more lives depending on whether you are in need, because when I started a new game, I made sure I had 5 lives or less before I tried this achievement and then it worked.

Someone should label this as a miss-able, as if you have too many lives you'll get just a few. I had 23 lives and polar only gave me three.

ConfluentOhm, check the video I post. I got 36 lives in the moment of doing this, and got the 10 lives normally, it should be a problem on your emulator or your ISO/disc image.

couldnt the achievement just be changed to get SOME lives from the warproom and just have the first life trigger it or something because i just missed it too

About the number of lives issue some people are pointing out, I do confirm that it is working normally... I had 68 lives when I got my 10 extra lives :/

Given 10 extra lives and I had around 30. No issue with this cheevo on my end (using Duckstation)

Also didn't get this on my first run so loaded a save and repeated a few times to try and figure out why. These are the ways I've noticed and can reliably reproduce getting less than 10 as they're being given:

- Entering a stage
- Moving away from Polar (out of screen)
- Using the platform between warp rooms

Not sure if this is an emulator quirk, but best bet to avoid the possibility of missing this is to not move until you're given all 10. Since it can't be repeated you'll miss the chance, and so technically this is missable (though not sure if it fits the criteria to be marked as such).
