if you already got the dragon before killing the boss, replay the dragon and that will refresh the checkpoint.

Pretty sure the above trick has been fixed, however this achievement is pretty simple as long as you take the shortcut and ignore the boss when attempting

This achievement and the one for Gnasty Gnorc are pulling an "Invalid Condition Type on my copy of Retroarch. Can that be fixed in any way?

Been running this repeatedly with a timer and it doesn't appear to be triggering

This is one of those cheevs where your instinct of doing the challenge first before collecting 100% items doesn't work here. I had many attempts trying to do this cheev the hard way and I only managed to get as far as the entrance to Blowhards third arena, basically impossible to get the end no matter how perfect your run is.

Okay, This is too easy:

1) Defeat Blowhard FIRST! This is a must

2) Go through the level again, The first time you encounter Blowhard, there will be a portal on his right.

3) Do not waste time trying to defeat Blowhard while in the race. The goal is to get to the top as fast as possible, so just run right past Blowhard & you should be good.

Thanks, Bugiman. My internal clock doesn't have a very good timer function, so I guess taking out Blowhard was cutting up way more time than I thought it would.

Another tip I'd recommend is that you death abuse when you start the level.

When you enter from the portal, there is an initial animation where Spyro loops and lands as the timer starts, but if you die and spawn into the level the animation doesn't play and saves even more time.

Also, the whirlwind appears once you grab the dragon from the level, so 100% the level first before trying this achievement.
