I think this might be the hardest minigame I've ever played. Those long rests between notes get me almost every time. How is this only worth 5 points? It would still be undervalued at 10 points.

On a positive note, all of the failed attempts before I finally earned this in Hardcore rewarded me with a rather large amount of Gasha Seeds. 20 rupees per seed is a phenomenal deal.

Kinda shocked by these comments. Going in I was dreading this but it took maybe ten tries. The N64 shooting galleries were much worse than this.

When you try this for long enough, you'll realize there are quite a few specific sequences (possibly more than 8, I never really stopped to count them all) and the only random factor is the order they come up.
I actually have more trouble perfecting the Gold level than the Platinum level, because I memorized the Platinum sequences better than the Gold ones.
And I second this, if you fail it once, keep going and not only you'll have a chance to learn more, you also still get a Gasha Seed if you clear the minigame. Target Carts may be cheaper and faster for those (10 rupees instead of 20), but you aren't guaranteed to get one as the prize there. Might still be good to grind there if you also want the 10k rupees ring, though.
Finally, there are two possible rings that you get for doing this level, the Bomber's Ring and the Protection Ring. Only the former is exclusive to this minigame, so keep doing this until you get it.

To help me grab this achievement, I did a few runs while recording in OBS, then went back and mapped out all the patterns I saw so I could reference them. Afterwords I was able to ace it on my next attempt. I posted it out on imgur should others want to use it.

I think this is all the possible patterns. I've been doing extra runs to grind out Gasha seeds for grinding rings. If you do the same, just make sure to fail at least one attempt; otherwise you end up with another copy of the ring reward ;)

Thanks alot dalinicus for the visual reference! It helped me out so much, that way I just had to focus on practicing the timing, and not worry about hitting the wrong button in the middle of a dance. This achievement was hard! Makes no sense to only be 5 points.

Can easily be a 10 points achievement, even a 25 tbh, even after writing every pattern possible those timings are so hard to get after hours of tries, really the worst minigame of the series

There is no way this is a FIVE point cheev. This is a 10 or 25 pointer. It took me about 20+ attempts to complete and I'm so glad I'm done with this one. This minigame was one of the two reasons I started with Seasons first. MANY thanks to dalinicus for the pattern guide, it really helped.

Definitely one of the most annoying minigames I've faced. The Subrosian Dance is superior to the Goron Dance indeed!

Just got it after attempting it for 30 minutes. What helped me was turning the volume on the game down and playing a 180 BPM metronome on YouTube. Once I heard the sequence in game I'd practice it in time to the metronome, tapping the buttons but not pressing them. Once I got into a rhythm of getting the sequence right a few times in a row I'd actually press the buttons.

Thank you Dalincus! That was a big help. Got it within 10 tries with this. Thankfully it had the ring I needed so I don't need to do that again! Easily the hardest cheev in the set imo.

I just completed it too. Big thanks to Dalinicus for the charts.

Big tip for this: DO NOT look at the visuals when playing this. The Gorons spin, turn and sing and the sprites have NOTHING to do with the fact that the game runs on 2 buttons, A+B.

Pull up Dalinicus' chart, don't look at the screen, let the game start. Listen for the first 3 or 4 notes (learn the difference of the 2 sounds: trill is B, ding is A), then pause the emulator. Find the correct sequence on the chart, study it and play it out only once you're ready.

You will likely fail multiple times at the start. The most important thing during these is to adjust your rest beats and get a good feel of how long a single and double rest beat is. The game is pretty specific on how long you wait, but at least it will tell you if you're early or late so you can slowly adjust.

Also remember in general: Platinum is only available in the Past, Gold is the max difficulty in the Present. You sadly have to pay double in the Past too at 20 rupees per play. I thought I'd go bankrupt on this, but using the methods here I actually did it in 3 attempts.
