For some reason, this one doesn't trigger when pikachu dances at some ledges, but it does trigger at other ledges. If you run into issues, try the ones between viridian city and pallet town.

I did this at the start of the game (didn't even receive the pokedex yet or anything). You can get this with the ledges in route 1, and with the mood Pikachu is in when you first receive him.

While you're wandering in Viridian City, find a stump, then jump over it and stay still until Pikachu dances, triggering it yourself.

I wasn't even trying to get this achivment, was walking through viridian city with turbo mode on, I don't know what I did I remember I jumped over a ledge then the achivment popped, ok sure I'll take it haha

just use an exploit to make pikachu happy with you by giving a normal potion to him when he's at full health a couple of times (like 20-30) and that should be enough for you to do this cheevo easily

Had max friendship with Pikachu, tried and got nothing. Accidentally entered a battle, used Pikachu, changed to a different ledge and it unlocked, so idk.

I think this cheevo is too buggy to be listed. Everybody seems to have a different method to make it work when it doesn't want to trigger.

I just now did it right after getting Pikachu and jumping down the first ledge right outside Pallet Town, so I can confirm Pikachu doesn't need to like you nor do you need to be at a certain point in the game or anything like that. If I had to guess it seems like it only works if you jump straight down a ledge and not jump off a ledge to the left or right.
