    I got the money from him but didn't receive the achievement. Now he just says "Good luck" forever or something like that. I see someone else managed to get it, not sure what went wrong for me.

    Confirmed for this one, I too got the money but no Cheevo.

    Ah, sorry about that. I think I designed this for you to be in that room and get a boost in money, but I may have screwed it up by adding a dialogue cue that doesn't always happen.

    You can actually obtain it if you go and talk to this man first before you sleep at the hotel. If you rent a room then you cannot obtain in the next day even though you still get the money from him

    This now works in all situations, even if you spend the night at the hotel first.

    Went and spoke with him during the ending and got the cash. Didn't pop
