Turns out there's a known bug in this achievement. It won't trigger if you got it near the end of disc 2, just before parachuting into midgar. At this time, cids theme is playing on the world map instead of anything else. I re-did it during disc 3 and it popped.

Yes, I didn't get the achievements on Disc 2, but I did get the Cloud one on Disc 3. It's a bug.

I opened a ticket about this known bug, and an admin named ladynadiad (https://retroachievements.org/user/ladynadiad) was very fast to close it. She claimed she "checked the logic and it's not checking for music", then proceeded to blame duckstation, even though this is a known bug that everyones experiencing.

I'm a software engineer myself, so the lack of real admin/dev support does bug me. But the funding on this website is also a bit weird, so not much can be done, except those of us in the community helping each other.

I do appreciate others commenting to help with cheevos in the comments and try to do the same for others!
