I didn't have any status resistance armor or accessories on when I beat a Malboro. Are there more restrictions than that? Like no using white wind, etc?

ok so i tried getting rid of all my status inflictions, i tried phoenix downing my self so i still had inflictions....I TRIED BEATING TI WITH ALL THE INFLCTIONS AND NOTHIN. either you have some crazy stupid hidden things were not doing or this bugged

When the Malboro does Bad Breath, wait for your characters to hit each other so they wake up, use a remedy and inmediately use White Wind, then finish that wretched thing off.

Unlocked without issue for me. Unequip all accessories and Added Effect materia just to be sure.

Swanstation, android. All good, easiest way to do this, use a Lv4 suicide enemy skill, after he use bad breath, use something damaging like Molotov or swift bolt.

I think this is still bugged. I had no remedies, so I wanted to kill Cid who had my enemy skill materia so I could revive him. I cast Bio on him and he got poisoned but Vincent countered Malboro to death and the achievement STILL WORKED. I can only assume the game saw I got poisoned and assumed I was hit by Bad Breath.
