For anyone that was a little confused like I was, you unlock the final two directly after beating Bowser (not after loading your pre-fight save), so make sure to check his diary before going to Peach's castle for the final cutscene.

IIRC there is one chapter of the story where if you go read Luigi's Diary he's there writing it and catches you -- if this happens he blocks off access to the basement, making this missable

So I beat Bowser and have to come back and read 11 and 12 now? I thought the game doesn't save after you beat Bowser and acts like nothing happens, and makes you reset during the credits

After you beat Bowser and rescue the princess and you're getting ready to head to the castle for the party, turn around and go back down the pipe to get the last two entries.

FUN STUFF: Entry pages 1-10 are available before fighting Bowser (over time) but pages 11 and 12 only appear AFTER fighting Bowser but BEFORE getting to the game end credits. After beating bowser, you leave the Mario house and go through the green pipe. Stop, go back to the Mario house, last room, secret floor panel then read the last 2 pages and it will pop.

God, I wish I'd read these comments more closely earlier. I assumed I could just pick the last entries up after beating the game or something. Now you're telling me I have to go all the way back up that dumb castle and fight Bowser again?! Super duper fun. A note in the description would be very helpful here.

So if it's not clear, this one is ONLY available for a few minutes after beating the game. If you don't take that chance to read the last two, you'll have to repeat the final battle or even climb the castle again like me..

But I can confirm that equipping the Bump Attack badge + Emulation Speedup will get you back to the top in like 5 minutes. So at least that.
