To destroy the Fire Bars, play "Jump Rope" with them, jumping over them 10 times to put them out.

It didn't hinder getting the achievement at all, but if you see an achievement get progress in the corner seemingly at random, it's probably this one.

For some reason, a lot of random actions (namely checking Peach's bedroom objects for the first time, going into some houses in Koopa Village, and hitting trees in Yoshi Village) make this keep going up and down - I think there was a point where I very nearly got this achievement checking Peach's objects in fact pfff.

Just a little fun fact more than anything I guess?

Play "Jump Rope" with the flames, yes. There are SIX spinning flames. First group: At the first zipline you take that goes down and to the right as soon as you enter the cave, keep going right. There are 3 Spinning Flames in this room and an Upgrade Box. I missed this room on my first time through. I think these 3 only spawn AFTER beating Lava Piranha and coming back. Otherwise, the other 3 are found as you progress normally. All SIX must be defeated at one time through the cave. I beat the latter 3, beat Lava Piranha, came back and beat the first three and it didn't pop. Beat all 6 at one time and it worked.

All 6 spinning flames are accessible before beating Lava Piranha. If you leave the cave, the counter resets and you will need to jump rope all of them again.
