    This is the gym I usually go for first when playing the Grass deck. The decks here are all about stalling, so even an unoptimized starting deck can get its cards together in time, and Grass beats all of the Rock types used here. As a bonus, Evolution, Colosseum and Mystery boosters are all available from beating the trainers, meaning it's one of the best places to farm cards early on.

    Gene himself feels kinda weak actually. The strength of his deck lies in evolution, but everything is super high cost and he has no foils to Grass, like his underling Andrew. (seriously, that guy plays like 3 colors to beat all kinds of green pokemon cards)
