I'm kind of bothered the only video linked here is one of pannen's challenges. You can use every button so this is even more free, let the current pull you up to where chukya is and jump down to the star platform and do a midair kick to get there

Best easy way do this is jump off the edge and do a back kick to land there

I'm doing a long jump and pull back as hard as possible as soon as jumping off the cliff. Worked first try :)

@Pelouch Thanks for the advice it worked! The ytbe link doesent explain 00:23- 00:28 no idea what happened there. So thanks for a different solution :D

Jumping on the Fly Guy and then holding B to slow your descent seemed to do the trick for me

I find it easier to jump off the edge on the area on top of the star (where there's the purple enemy that grabs Mario) and hold back (towards the star) and press B on the air to kick.
