It's really not that bad of a game, completely fair difficulty if you are skilled enough and have the right weapon (Cough, Spread Shot, Cough). You just need to be careful in key points and you should never die. Even the last stage is a guarantee you will never die if you have Spread Shot by then, and know how to kill the Aliens in there. You can die twice. The third time and it's over and you have to restart.

Allow me to explain better: You cannot die 3 times.
That's pretty much it. No matter how many lives you collect. The moment you lose 3 lives, the run is over. Continuing won't restore your run.
The achievement is not that difficult, tbh.
Keep trying and you'll soon find out that you can survive without even trying.
