I just bound retroarch pause to my spacebar since I am on pc. Hit pause when the lights came on, lined up my direction, unpause and shoot. Nearly impossible on an emulator and gave up just guessing middle bottom and flicking left/right. Barley seemed to get enough chances to get 10 on the bottom row, and I wasnt perfect.

You may not need luck, but it sure does help. Just hover over a particular spot (I chose the top-right) and don't even worry about anything but shooting in that spot. This way you only need good reaction times instead of superhuman reactions.

To bring the game closer to the original framerate and be able to play the bonus stages correctly, use Pure Interpreter and framerate = Original, turn much more easy

I'll be honest I'm not sure about this one, I agree with Chaos447 It feels complete RNG. I understand this mini game is in the actually game, but the reaction time is pretty insane. Even if you do the trick of "choosing a spot" it's still RNG.

The only way you can get this is have spiderman reflexes or doing the pause buffering trick.

Legit this is the only way I got this achievement, set a keybind to pause and pause right before the dark turns to light then hold the direction of where to shoot hit the pause button and shot button one after another extremely fast and I was able to get it with 20 secs remaining. This felt like I cheated hardcore and wasn't a fan of it.

I managed to beat this without extra help. ngl, it's very difficult but still doable. You just need to pay extra attention and react as fast as possible.
