In my opinion, this gets easier after you zap him the third time. He'll stop using the tidal wave attack and as long as you keep moving without turning around, his fireballs he spits out shouldn't hit you. The fireballs that fall from the sky should be easy enough to avoid. Just take your time, even if that means missing a ring and having to redo the set to hit him. Took me about 5 attempts. Good luck!

As expected, this is one of the worst achievement for this game. I keep being hit during the cinematic for the first star, I don't know why. What a shitty boss.

For anyone wondering, you can do this in the boss battle after you get 10 banana fairies.

I find it helps to get the first star, then get the rest of the stars the other way (reverse) helps per phase. 2nd phase is hardest when he uses shock waves but you can speed along side them to get the star, then go off to the side to dodge said wave. When wave is gone, travel clockwise to get the star, then counter clockwise for the rest. Other phases aren’t as bad, and when he shoots the fish torpedo, just keep speeding and it will blow itself up eventually.
