Get back to the high road AGAIN, and continue along it until you reach a checkpoint, then go backwards down the low road. You should have 205 rings before the lava, and the final life is on the other side from it.

Nice achievement, really easy but REALLY fun; get all the emeralds or complete the game with no deaths are hell compared to this.

Is there a guide for this? I cannot figure out how this achievement is possible. Half the level becomes closed off and you can't backtrack.

There are no guides by me, but other comments here provide lots of tips and videos showing them unlocking it. I remember when I was designing this achievement, I took a map of the level, divided it into sections with X number of rings, marked what sections connected to what other sections and then made a path from there. I no longer have that original map to share, but for me half the fun of the achievement was the routing, and the next half was the execution.

Dificil pero no imposible, junta 200 anillos en Hill Top Act 2 y consigue las 2 vidas que están en el nivel.

Tip: Junta todos los anillos y cajas en las 3 rutas antes de la erupción de fuego, luego vete full por arriba consigue todo y antes del jefe regrésate al camino de abajo hacia la izquierda, habrá vida escondida en la lava inferior.

This achievement does not require any glitches.

No achievements in Sonic 2's base set, nor any base set I have worked on require glitches. This is not allowed as per the Unwelcome Concepts - Requiring Glitches section of the documentation.
