My strategy for the cutscene change is this: Right when the cutscene ends, press B to dive down the tiniest bit, and then hold back and A. Link will hop right back on to land. It's 100% consistent from my runs.

it was high frustrated for me. it took over 1 hour. Ingame time I've beated him in the last 6 hours. This achievement is some pain in my soul xD

Man Fierce Deity ftw! Normally I struggle with this boss, but not anymore. As FD Link, all you gotta do is Z-target Gyrog when he launches out of the water, and then constantly mash B standing on the edge of the platform closest to where he’s at in the water.

At first I was having trouble with this boss and I waited till I had Frierce Deity and it was very easy.
Now that I am doing the 6 day run w/3 heart challenge it's crazy to me I just did this boss without getting hit and became second nature. It's cool to see your skills evolve as you go along this game!

No way for me. I tried 15 times. Cant avoid the hit after the cutscene. I tried mrmistermisterm, but only worked 2 times (and it was when I already got the hit but continued to train this).

Love this game to death, but always hated this part of the game. Gyorg is easily my most hated Zelda boss so it was nice to kick his wet stinky fish ass and be rewarded by the end.

F*ck Gyorg, all my homies hate Gyorg.

Doesn't look that hard but this achievement really puts into perspective on how poorly designed this boss fight really is. The cutscene that plays after you hit him three times is almost a guaranteed freebie for the dumb fish to take you for a ride, unless you can make it back on the platform in time.
