I achieved this on Moo Moo Meadows. Kinda went up the right side of the hill near the fence and constantly tap LEFT then RIGHT to keep Mario in center of screen. Confusing, but easy really.

Also.. don't know if this matter or not, but I used Mario as the icon suggests, but I would hold the B button before A.

Easily done in the corner, at the right, after the tunnel on Luigi Raceway. Doing it here prevent the camera from turning and make it simple. Moreover, no need to waste many time, as it is the first race of the mushroom cup. Thanks @TinNova

Man I spent forever trying to do this then got it in about 2 seconds with Mario. Would be nice for future players if we can confirm whether it needs to be Mario or not. Maybe his handling/speed just makes it easier.

Either way I achieved this using Mario, 150cc, close camera angle, on Luigi Speedway in the corner on the right side after the tunnel.

You don't need to get in a corner. It's possible to make your kart face the camera anywhere if you adjust the kart just right.

Did the same thing KimuraGracie did as Mario in Luigi Raceway. Dunno if any other character mattered getting this chevo or not. I've been struggling to keep the character facing me for a second on any other tracks.
