I was personally stuck for quite some time trying to find one item, that being in World 4-1 above the first bridge where the purple Toads are. You should be able to Surf on the water north, follow the path and grab an item box.

Ok so the document says there is a Water Gem in Glittering Cave in the dark portion by checking one of the blue rocks, I do not have a Water Gem in my inventory and I have checked every blue rock what am I doing wrong

There is one hidden item flag used accidentally at the same time on an non-hidden item at Tostarena Tower, so you probably grabbed that one first (basically they share the same flag so if you grab either, the game thinks you grabbed both)

Is this missable?
There's a "?" Block with a berry in the dark area and upon completing it, its now sealed with a rock that cannot be broken

I feel like I'm going mad. the achievement list says I have 5 items to go, but apparently 3 of them aren't hidden, and I have no idea where to look. I also collected a hidden item that didn't proc the counter, so... things are happening that I am not privy to.

Finally got them. the mystic water in the left fountain that I somehow didn't find before, and big nugget in the right of 4-2 in the maze. god that wasted so much time...

I think I'm in the same situation as JadeMetal (at 41/42, no water gem in my inventory, itemfinder shows 0 items in the dark area), is there a way to fix that and get the achievement?

@FireSonic I can’t recall if there’s any items in the room where Antasma is. If there are, I imagine that they’re not required. I assumed there were items there and that they were what I was missing because I had completely forgotten about the other room with limited visibility nearby, in a room past the one behind moveable boulders. Thanks for pointing this out!

Can anyone confirm that there are 42 non-missables for this? I’m at 41/42, no water gem in inventory, antasma cave is sealed, and every area I check in world 4 I can’t find any item boxes and the item finder comes up with zero.

@WindGoddess There are 42 non-missables. The last three items I needed were in a room past the one you need to move boulders to get to (to the left of the sealed Antasma room). There’s another room with limited visibility there and that’s where the Water Gem is (on a blue rock), along with three other items. Chances are you just missed the one there!

I eventually found the item block I missed, must have sold the gem or given it to a mon. When people start talking about a missable item I don’t want to waste time searching for something not there 🤷🏻‍♀️

@WindGoddess You’re more than welcome. It’s great that you found it! Was it the one near the two purple Toads where you have to use Surf to go up and then to the left in the first area of World 4? That one is tricky.

after searching for so long and assuming the achievement was bugged i FINALLY found what i was missing, it was just a normal item block with a manget. to find it you go outside of glittering cave where the toad is, and then just go left hugging the cliffside

I'm also on 41/42. Found all the hidden items. Checked everything several times.

Nothing seems to miss.

The only think i find suspicious is the area on the left before waluigi. Can you some how reach it? Is there maybe something?

I believe that Water Gem isn't really in that cave. I don't have it, definitely didn't give to any capture, and unless the description said it was to be sold, I didn't sell it.
I also didn't get any item in that cave besides the ? block before checking the doc.
(My last was the one surfing north from the bridge in 4-1.)
