I did it 4 Times and it didn't pop up. Sometimes I think the Cheeves works random.

The problem with this achievement is the King Dodongo HP, sometimes the value goes to f0,f1...ff and not just 00 after beating it. Altomar if you want a quick fix here is, O:0xH0x1ecb76=0_T:0x0xH1ecb76>=240, replace the boss health value

Thanks for pointing the issue AlexGatao. I removed this condition for both normal and 3 hearts run since its unstable and instead now the achievement check for the music change [victory].

protip: you can make him roll around the arena if you run behind him at the beginning if you aren't able to throw a bomb in his mouth at the start of the fight. Never knew that all these years until doing this achievement.

is this possible if you are able to have more than 3 hearts but start the battle with only 3

@Boomerdeez. Unlikely. These hard version achievements go along with playing the game without collecting any heart containers or 4 heart pieces. I can think of at least one piece of heart that needs to be collected, to finish the mask questline.

I cannot see these 4 rooms before king dodongo with its annoying fire bats anymore.

The chevo is easy with deku sticks but somehow I slopied a few times like grab the bomb to early or throw it not in his mouth...

Strategy is the same as described in the non 3 heart chevo.

Had a bit of trouble getting past him at the start. Easiest way I found was to stand almost beside him right near the lava. He'll roll right past you. Wait for him to come around, bomb flower to mouth, running jump deku stick 2x, success!

umm... I unlocked the achievement on retroarch but for some reason it says I don't have it on the website. Does anyone know what happened?

now it's gone?! The achievement popped up for me and I could see I had it in retroarch but now it's no longer showing that I unlocked it!

I had this once. cheevos were in retro arch showing up but not on the website even with connection. I tool screenshots from the cheevos and asked for manual unlock. Then after restart of steam deck complete it was in sync again.

A little tricky but not too difficult. Worst part is having to redo the block puzzle just before the boss every time you want to reattempt it.

Using deku sticks worked for me, no problem; two hits with the jump attack and he was dead.
