Found this terribly hard at first, but then I just mapped the O button to a macro to toggle “holding” it and I didn’t have to worry about keeping it pressed anymore. Got it in one go after that (Downtown area).

If you don’t want to mess with such settings, you can also just put some duct tape on the button to hold it all the time. Works just as well.

Right after this achievement I also did the first person view achievement using the same method. Simple stuff…

Btw I did Downtown for the wide and straight roads.

And don’t bother aiming, just leave it as is and drive left/right to aim instead of with the cannon. You can just drive up real close to the vehicles and pedestrians, the water won’t go over them but hit them even if it may not look like it. Supposedly the closer you are the sooner the fire is quenched to, although I’m not entirely sure on that. Regardless, it makes things easier.

Also, don’t worry about driving very carefully, the fire truck is pretty much a tank and will not catch fire anytime soon.
