you have to do this when doopliss takes control of mario's body, so you won't have a partner to begin with, so can't tattle. though you don't really need to worry about tattles since missable ones can be found in frankly's trash can.

Doesn't pop for me. The achievement icon in the bottom right doesn't even show up when I enter the battle, even though I'm the purple Mario with no partner.

I can confirm that this works even if you've gotten Ms. Mowz (and potentially other partners?) earlier through sequence breaking glitches. Note that she isn't actually useable during this period where Mario is temporarily partnerless. I was still able to fight the Atomic Boo solo, as intended, and the achievement still triggered, which is a super win-win for those who want to get all the achievements while at the same time play around with some glitches.

There wasn't an icon in the corner during the fight, though, but that's not a concern compared to the stress I felt from potentially having to miss out on this one.

So I guess there are 2 atomic boo in chapter 4? I killed the one in the lobby that active when you use 2 times the super hammer attack when they grab you but I had my partner, so I guess later I will have no partner and there will be a another atomic boo then I'll be able to get this achievement?

No, there should be only one since he's a mini-boss -- meaning you killed him too early for this missable.

Yet another argument for dev-approved saves for this set.

I think it would be good to update the achievement description to mention that this is an optional miniboss. I was waiting to tackle this achievement when the boss showed up in the storyline, which they didn't.
