@TrashCity So did I. I believe I learned of it while watching a speedrun, or something to that effect. It was showcased, and I lost my composure on sight.

I've had a brief scare because I skipped through the dialogue and rejected him and hadn't saved in forever. Turns out you can just leave the store and he'll still be there.

I too had a scare by the time I reached the panic escape sequence, because once the Puni Orb lift lowers you down to the boss floor, it never goes back up.

Fret not though, Jabbie will be in the storeroom hidden store even during the escape sequence. Make a quick visit and find him in the corner and just reset to retry the escape if needed.

Of course, it's best if you just find him before descending towards the boss room too. I just had no idea while playing.
