How do you not miss one of the starter Pokémon, being you can only pick one?

@Chucklez you only need one starter. 124 is the maximum number of different Pokémon you can own in a single game without external trades.

Let's say I have two copies, (Red&Blue) I'm starting two different playthroughs and I'm gonna trade with each other (with a site like this which just uses saves: bluemoonfalls.com/pages/tools/trade-sim) to evolve some pkmn and have faster exp.

Will it compromise this achievement? And what if I trade each other copies' exclusive mons?

Mew isn't required, it's not considered an obtainable pokemon in a singleplayer normal run

@Yauriki there is, I did it for my first run and didn't get this cheevo, presumably because I used glitches. You have to use the glitches on the bonus subset because you need 151/151 from a single game.

Use dig/fly/teleport immediately when being spotted by a long range trainer. Walking back into the area will trigger an encounter with a Pokémon which varies depending on the special stat of the last Pokémon you battled.

Nugget bridge is the easiest for this, using the trainer in the grass to the left.

Welp. I didnt read the warnings before I began. I guess I will let you know if getting mew + all starters in blue/red causes it to stop you or not.

@ToPoleaDK did you figure it out? I did the Mew glitch early on in my save file before I read these warnings. Now I'm wondering if doing that locked me out of this. RA still seems to be counting every new PokeDex entry to 124, so maybe I'm safe?

Getting Mew shouldn't mess things up. I used the glitch to capture Mew as well as a Missing No. and had no problem getting this to pop.

@jcdelaloser The legendary birds and Mewtwo can flee from you if you fail to capture them, faint them by accident, etc. Just make sure to save first. Or be a chad and use the item duplication glitch with the Master Ball.

Also, don't release pokemons lol mainly the ones you obtained just once, like Lapras, the hitmons, etc.
