    Seems trivial, but I'm going to throw this in.

    DO NOT LEAVE THE ROOM WITHOUT PICKING THIS KEY UP.

    DO NOT CHASE THE BOO DOWN.

    There is a fatal bug that has been documented that is in all versions of Luigi's Mansion on Gamecube. If you leave the Artist's Studio without picking the Spade Key up, the key disappears. PERMANENTLY. This will softlock your game, right near the end.

    According to the Luigi's Mansion wiki, if you save and reset the game, then go back to the studio, the key will reappear. BUT the room will be dark and will be stuck that way. So if you did not get the Boo in that room, that Boo is now permanently missable.

    Don't risk it, either way. Pick the key up before you chase the Boo down.
