    I'm pretty sure I just accidentally unlocked this achievement during the Twins fight by starting to capture Twin #1, deal some damage, get Twin #2 on the hook as well (which started the achievement timer), and then finish capturing Twin #1, earning the achievement.

    It's possible that some things went a little bit differently, but it all happened so fast so I'm not entirely sure what happened. I just know that I definitely didn't finish off Twin #1 within five seconds.

    Okay so this achievement can also been done by capturing Melody!

    I was gonna wait until the twins per Killerabbit06's advice but got it when I was just wiggling the control stick as fast as I could while fighting her.

    What technique do people use for this? I usually kinda just go wild pulling my sticks away from the ghost, but I keep missing this by 1 or 2 seconds. It'd help to know a more precise method for sure.

    Managed to figure it out. By pulling back on my control stick in a precise rhythm, I was able to deal big chunks of 10 damage for every pull. Did this with Lydia on Hidden Mansion.

    I'm not sure how much this matters since the leaderboard doesn't seem to be visible, but any time I pause the game while in the middle of a ghost battle and then quit the game it'll still submit that time to the achievement's leaderboard as if you completed the battle instead of failing it. My best actual time in catching a portrait ghost was 4:90, but on previous attempts where I realized I got screwed out of getting a good time right at the beginning of the battle and quit the game because of it, it submitted lower times. It had no effect on me getting the achievement itself, just the leaderboard was effected, but I still thought it was worth bringing up.
